Artist Feedback Sessions & Survey
In November 2020, Lane Arts Council, ArtCity, and the Creative Sector Strategy group called all artists – visual artists, musicians, theatre artists, literary artists, dancers, designers, makers, and all creatives – to share what resources and opportunities are most needed during this unprecedented time. Feedback was given through livestream sessions as well as a survey. The feedback received has informed local arts organizations on how to best support artists and ultimately, uplift the arts in our community. Read the report below to see our main findings from this research into Lane County’s creative community.
Our community doesn’t look the same as it did a year ago; everyone has faced changes due to this pandemic. Many artists are facing an entirely new way of working. We wanted to hear directly from artists in our region on what challenges they’re currently facing and what resources and opportunities would be the most beneficial to them in the year ahead. This might include professional development, funding opportunities, studio/performance space availability, along with myriad other areas relevant for participating artists.
Whether you’re a visual artist, musician, theatre artist, literary artist, dancer, designer, maker, or creative, we still want to hear from you! Although we have compiled information from our 2020 research already, the Artist Feedback Survey remains open to continue collecting responses and enhancing our understanding of what Lane County artists are experiencing.
Please share this opportunity with your artist networks. The more voices and perspectives that we can include, the better!
