Acting for the Camera brings a safe place for students to explore themselves and build confidence through acting techniques, self exploration, scripts, audition skills and how acting on camera is different and the same as Theater acting. We use the camera on a regular basis to feel confident.

Arts and Academic Standards

  • Give space for students to engage in informed and respectful discussion of issues, events and ideas.
  • Demonstrate the skills and dispositions needed to be a critical consumer of information.
  • Help students evaluate competing design solutions using a systematic process to determine how well they meet the criteria and constraints of the problem.
  • Demonstrate a different way to represent and interpret data.

IN FOCUS camera acting and production works directly with the actors imagination in developing skills that will move them into acting or simply help them in their daily lives. We focus on confidence, speech, voice, body and their emotions and put them into action. We use scripts and improvisation to develop scenes that we shoot on camera and watch back. Learning how to view oneself with positive insight and move towards change without judgement. We have so much fun.
