Program Description
In Mixed Media Creation Installation, students will create colorful projects individually that will be put together to make a whole. This whole piece will be a large mixed media collage. I will meet with staff to brainstorm subject matter. Some examples include a landscape with plants and animals, an ecosystem like the rainforest, a geometrical quilt like piece, an imaginary land, space, a city, a school portrait, anything that has lots of parts really. This will be a long term installation, with artwork being returned to students upon disassembly. Projects may also include group work for larger pieces needed for the large scale collage. Some materials that may be used individually or in combination with other materials are: paint, watercolor, oil pastel, cut paper, printmaking, chalk pastels, crayons, and markers. The project pieces will be assembled by myself and any volunteers in stages after school.

Final Product
Long term installation that brings additional creativity, beauty, and education to the school community while giving the entire school population the opportunity to work individually, but together, towards a common goal helping form a stronger school community.
