Program Description
Art Connections is an opportunity for your students to make connections to your chosen subject matter through art making and art history. I believe that art is connected to every subject matter: history, science, geography, math, music, everything! I will meet with the classroom teachers to discuss where you’d like for me to provide arts integration. Ideas can include but certainly aren’t limited to specific animals, ecosystems, a specific culture, time period, historical happening, geological location or feature, music, or a specific author. There can be multiple subject matters at one school. I will then create a fun, educational, and insightful curriculum that includes art history while having fun making art everyday of the residency. The students will be encouraged to use their imaginations and explore new ideas, techniques, and materials. The final projects will be displayed for the school to enjoy.

Final Product
We can discuss whether this will have individual student, group, or class size end results. This could be used as an opportunity to make an educational installation using your students’ amazing art; this could be on a class, grade or multiple grade size level.
