MRG FOUNDATION: SPOKEN WORD PERFORMER OR STREET ARTIST FOR LILLA JEWEL AWARD

MRG Foundation is seeking a woman artist who lives in Oregon to introduce and showcase a short performance/presentation of their creation in three venues, including Justice within Reach (JWR) in Portland, Oregon on May 12, 2017; MRG’s Southern Oregon Celebration in Talent, Oregon in September 2017; and one other mutually-agreed upon showcase in 2017, specific time and place TBD.

Justice within Reach is the social justice party of the year and MRG’s largest annual fundraiser, bringing together nearly 500 activists, community leaders, and progressive philanthropists to raise money in support of social change organizing across the state. FLORENCE FEST JURIED ART EXHIBITION

The Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) is excited to invite all artists to participate in the 1st annual Florence Fest to be held at the Florence Events Center on March 31 and April 1, 2017. This special event, which will feature two days of Jazz, Art and Wine, will be highlighted by talented jazz musicians, and outstanding wine from some of the best wineries in the Willamette Valley.  The juried art portion will provide maximum exposure, and cash prizes of $1,000, $500, and $250 will be awarded.

Selections will be made by Robert Canaga, an accomplished painter, photographer and printmaker. Canaga has been the curator for numerous exhibitions throughout the Northwest; including the Gallery at the Watershed, Peace Health Headquarters, OPUS6IX, and the Coos Art Museum. Read More

ZONE 4 ALL: NEW ZONE GALLERY NON-JURIED SHOW

The New Zone Arts Collective, a non-profit arts organization, located at 220 W. 8th will host a past New Zone tradition, “ZONE 4 ALL” during the month of March, show dates are March 3rd – 31st. The non-juried show is open to all artists with any 2-D piece and 3-D work. Artists must hand deliver up to 2 ready to display pieces to the New Zone on Saturday, February 25, 12-6pm. Work without proper hanging devises will not be accepted. A $10 entry fee for work displayed and a 35% commission to New Zone for art sold. The Umpqua Valley Arts Association (UVAA) invites artists of all media to submit artworks to the annual Artworks Northwest Juried Art Show and Competition. Eligible to all artists working in the Pacific Northwest. Submit up to five entries. Commission rates are 30% for UVAA members and 40% for non UVAA members.
