ARTCITY/CITY OF EUGENE UMBRELLA PROJECT

Call to artists for a roaming time-based art project in the downtown corridor of Eugene. All participating artists and groups will be provided the same canvas or prop: a white umbrella. Artistic forms may include dance, thespians in character, visual artists, digital artists, storytellers, spoken-word artists, poets, writers, mimes, musicians, jugglers, and more. Read more


OREGON COUNTRY FAIR 50TH ANNIVERSARY COMMISSION

The Oregon Country Fair solicits applications for an art piece to be commissioned in commemoration of their 50 year anniversary. Guidelines include: be creative, inspiring, meaningful, fun, and interactive; celebrate iconic OCF history, moveable and easy to store, durable in all 4 seasons if possible, day and nighttime presentation, and at or below budget for $5,000. CALL TO PLAYWRIGHTS FOR MAJESTIC EIGHT FESTIVAL
Deadline to Apply: December 15th, 2018

The Majestic Playwrght’s Lab is accepting submissions for its second statewide Majestic Eight Ten-Minute Play Festival starting November 1st, 2018, through the December 15th deadline. The eight finalists will have their work presented at the Majestic Theatre in Corvallis on April 20, 2019. The competition is open to all Oregon residents and students registered at Oregon universities and colleges, and there is no submission fee. This is an opportunity to showcase new and original ten-minute plays, and to become one of the Majestic Eight! Information and detailed guidelines here.


RAIN PLAY – CALL FOR ARTISTS
Deadline to Apply: ongoing through January 7th, 2019

Rain Play artwork encourages people to come downtown and experience art that is only visible when it rains! The art may take viewers on a scavenger hunt, it may draw people in to a large scale graphic novel scene, a zine or comic drawing, inspiring quotes, graphic art tiles, poetry, stories, games, and more. Submissions will be considered as they arrive, pairing artists and businesses, and installing artwork as the program progresses. Selected Artists will receive $135 stipend for each one-hour time period that artist applies artwork. Read more

NEW OREGON ARTIST FELLOWSHIP

The Oregon Community Foundation and Oregon Humanities seek applications to a new fellowship program for emerging to mid-career Oregon-based artists. Four Fields Artist Fellows will be awarded $100,000 each over a two-year period, along with robust convening and learning opportunities. More info


FUNDING FOR PROJECTS: EUGENE’S DOWNTOWN PROGRAM FUND

Is there an event or artistic installation you have been wanting to present downtown? The Downtown Program Fund may be for you! The Fund aims to activate downtown Eugene’s public spaces by expanding artistic and cultural programming. Funding in the range of $1,000 – $5,000 will be awarded to organizations or individuals who wish to produce their own quality programming during April – October 2019 in outdoor public spaces in Eugene’s downtown core. Funding can support any artistic or cultural discipline, including visual, dance, music, theater, film/video/media and multidisciplinary fields. Read more


EUGFUN CALL TO ARTISTS FOR SUMMER 2019

City of Eugene Cultural Services produces over 75 free community events and public programs under the EUGfun brand each year, with a commitment to high-quality multidisciplinary forms of artistic expression that reflect the diversity of our community, and are family-friendly, though not necessarily family-focused.  EUGfun is now accepting artist submissions from all genres of performing arts including music, dance, comedy, spoken-word, theater, circus arts and more for the summer 2019 season, including artist submissions from all genres of the fine arts for temporary, live, interactive and/or multimedia art installations including painters, sculptors, digital media designers and more. 40+ artists are expected to be hired. WILSONVILLE FESTIVAL OF ARTS CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Submissions are now being accepted for the 2019 Wilsonville Festival of Arts, to be held Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd. Be a part of the contemporary art scene in Oregon by participating in this creative and innovative outdoor art festival just SE of Portland. We invite artists of all genres – crafters and makers, designers and bakers. Exploring everything from traditional art forms to New Media genres like 3D printing, and from pure forms to multi-media. A top-notch jury panel will choose which artists participate in the festival. Application Fee: $20 / Booth Fee: $125 for a single (10×10); $250 for a double (10×20). Read more


HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT REGIONAL ART CONTEST: CELEBRATE THE WEST

The Western Governors’ Association is proud to announce its 4th Annual “Celebrate the West” regional art competition that challenges high school students to create works inspired by their state. Oregon students have not submitted as many entries in the past and are especially encouraged to apply! Students are welcome to submit artwork used for other contests or assignments. Students’ artwork will be returned, and shipping will be paid for by WGA. It is easy to enter- students only need to email a photograph of their artwork along with the entry form – find the form and more info here.


URBAN CANVAS

This mural program through the City of Eugene provides opportunities for local artists to create public murals by connecting artists and wall owners and serving as a liaison for the process. Urban Canvas is looking for both artists and wall owners who want to participate. Read more
