StoryHelix seeks to collect the stories of community members regarding belonging in Eugene, Lane County and Oregon.

The first highlighted selection of stories will focus on the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) experience and will be brought to life in a 2-dimensional form as a large-print poster. Graphic artists and illustrators are needed to create the posters to be displayed throughout downtown Eugene in August and September

Pairing the stories with artists who connect deeply to the subject matter is an important aspect of the overall intent of the project. Graphic artists and illustrators selected for the project will receive a $300 stipend. You can find more information and apply here.

StoryHelix is project by Wordcrafters in Eugene, in partnership with Lane Arts Council, the Whiteaker Community Arts Team, and the Strides for Social Justice App, and sponsored in part by the City of Eugene Cultural Services Downtown Program Fund!
