- 2024-2025 Artist Grant recipients Bonnie Simoa, Josephine Magdalene Angier, and Mica Anton, alongside moderator Sandy Brown Jensen, discuss personal artistic journeys,
creations, and community impact. Minors are welcome at this event location with an accompanying adult.
Friday, October 4th | Cultural Currents On-Site Artist Q&As

Sofia Carpenter-Rodriguez will talk about the meaning and artistic process behind the collage piece Woman Working in the Field, created in collaboration with Hampton Rodriguez and installed in the building. - 6pm, Hult Center Plaza (6th Ave & Willamette)
Jenny Ellsworth will be discussing A’ppealing and Leaf Dance, sculptures created from steel and reclaimed materials. Through her work, Jenny breathes life into the forgotten, transforming discarded metal into beauty and wonder. - 7pm, SupSupra Pavilion at Downtown Riverfront Park (701 E 8th Ave)
Julie Anderson Bailey and Eric Braman combine artwork and spoken word poetry in Biology Rising, intertwining memories with video footage of rivers and lakes. Best experienced at dusk.
