ArtSpark fundraiser to support arts education countywide!

Lane Arts Council works with districts and schools throughout Lane County to identify gaps in arts access for students and support the unique arts learning needs of schools. Based on those needs, our professional teaching artists (almost 50 artists) deliver a diverse array of visual, performing, literary, and media arts learning through a suite of arts education programs: in-school Artist Residencies, after-school Design Arts Apprenticeships, and intensive Creative Link arts integration collaborations that deeply enrich the educational journeys of thousands of young learners each year. Lane Arts Council was one of the first organizations in Oregon to offer in-school artist residencies, and we have been a key arts partner for schools in Lane County for five decades, serving students from the Cascades to the coast.

Last year, Lane Arts Council’s arts education programs impacted over 13,400 students through 4,600 hours of transformative arts learning. However, our ability to continue providing vital arts opportunities to young minds relies on the generosity of supporters like you. For that reason, Lane Arts Council asks that you please mark your calendars for our ArtSpark fundraiser on Friday, April 11th, 2025, at Ninkasi to celebrate and support the impact of arts education in our communities!

Funds raised through ArtSpark in 2025 will support Lane Arts Council’s arts education programs countywide. Can’t wait to support? Make your donation today!

ArtSpark History

2016 – 2017

Lane Arts Council, Rotary Club of Eugene, Eugene Education Foundation, and Eugene School District 4J partnered to launch ArtSpark—a fundraising initiative that started with the goal of ensuring every elementary student in Eugene had access to arts opportunities as a fundamental part of their in-school learning. The Rotary Club first funded an Artist Residency at two elementary schools (Cesar Chavez and McCornack), and hosted the first ArtSpark fundraiser on April 26th, 2017 at The Shedd Institute. Funds raised expanded programming during the following year, allowing Lane Arts Council to offer an Artist Residency for all Eugene 4J elementary schools.

2018 – 2024

ArtSpark partners and committee members were awarded the ABAE Arts & Business Partnership award in 2018. Watch this video and learn more about the partnership.

At the launch of ArtSpark, the Eugene 4J District committed to a matching amount that grew each year to support essential arts learning for their students. Thanks to the years of success and legacy of ArtSpark fundraising efforts in partnership with the Rotary Club of Eugene, Eugene 4J, and local arts education donors, many more students have access to the arts as part of their education.

2025

Lane Arts Council is excited to expand ArtSpark fundraising efforts to support access to arts education for all 16 school districts in Lane County! Join us on April 11th, 2025 at Ninkasi and/or make a donation to support.
