Lane Arts Council‘s Fiesta Cultural, a celebration of Latino art and culture taking place September-December, kicks off during the September 1st First Friday ArtWalk!
The fun starts at 5pm with a salsa dance lesson from Jose Cruz of Salseros Dance Company. The ArtWalk begins at 5:30pm with dance performances by Jose and Michelle Cruz from Salseros Dance Company, a fandango sneak peek, and cuban salsa by Azucar.
Watch Antonio Huerta wow the crowds with Charreria (rope tricks) to music by Mariachi Monumental.
Join the salsa dance party from 6:30-9:30pm when Dina Y los Rumberostakes the stage.
Other highlights include a free kids art activity with Samuel Becerra, Fiesta Cultural print pulls by Eugene Printmakers, a community activity by Oregon Supported Living Program, a bilingual guided tour of select galleries, artwork and art exhibits by Latino artists, and food!
