“Artists are doing our part to help elevate the community right now. We need these moments of beauty and creativity now more than ever,” shared one of our teaching artists, who is offering art classes online for youth now that schools are closed. Especially in times of crisis, the arts fortify our well-being, inspire and connect us to each other, and uplift us with joy and healing.
Although most of our programs are now on hold, Lane Arts Council is proactively responding to the current crisis. For example, we have launched online arts education programming, are connecting artists with resources and project support, and organized an Artist Relief Fund to help artists who have lost significant income because of the shutdown. We need you to be part of the solution as we persevere through this difficult moment and help sustain our arts community.
For over four decades, Lane Arts Council has championed the power of arts and culture to transform communities in Lane County. We have led the way to embed arts education in schools, create cultural experiences that build social cohesion, support artists and arts organizations in achieving their visions, and develop community-wide efforts to strengthen our arts ecosystem.
Lane Arts Council is facing major challenges due to the current crisis. Now, more than ever, we need your donation to ensure that Lane Arts Council can weather this storm and grow our impact into the future.
In times like these, the only way nonprofit organizations succeed is through the support of community members, like you, who believe in our work.
Please give to Lane Arts Council today. Your support is essential to ensure we can stay strong to help reactivate our community and bring us all back together when the time comes.
