The Lane County Cultural Coalition has extended the deadline for District #2 Springfield board member applicants. Applicants must live or work in Springfield. Applications are due by Thursday, May 31st, 2018. Apply here
LCCC selects new Coalition members as current member terms expire or as vacancies arise. The Coalition is comprised of 12 members: two from each of the five County Districts (West Lane, East Lane, Springfield, North Eugene, and South Eugene), and one member each from Lane Arts Council (LAC) and Museums United of Springfield Eugene (MUSE).
Volunteer members of the Coalition must have a knowledge of and dedication to cultural endeavors in Lane County and be prepared to participate in regularly scheduled quarterly meetings. Members may be affiliated with a cultural organization, but will not represent that organization in discussion or voting. The Committee’s primary task is to distribute approximately $35,000 of Oregon Cultural Trust funds annually. These funds stay in Lane County and fund projects according to local community needs. Committee responsibilities include evaluating cultural grant applications, selecting new committee members, and promoting the Oregon Cultural Trust. The Committee members will be appointed beginning in June. Committee members are expected to attend quarterly meetings (held at noon on the 3rd Thursday in January, April, July, and October), as well as a 1/2 day grant review session in November.
