Summer Art Kits

With COVID-19 safety measures in place, Lane Arts Council has chosen to shift gears to offer fun and accessible at-home Summer Art Kits in place of our in-person All About Art Summer Camp. Available to all Lane County students, these kits provide materials and instructional guides for a summer full of artmaking and creativity!

How it works

We will mail a kit to your household in early August holding all the materials necessary for 40 art lessons including visual, dance, theatre, and musical arts. Each lesson has a corresponding paper instructional guide and/or video tutorial to guide students through the art projects. All you need is a device able to play videos, a space for students to create art, and a kitchen. All the other supplies will be included in your kit! Perfect for K-5 learners and for middle school students with an interest in the arts.

The lessons include:

  • Scientific Observational Drawing
  • Improvisational Hip Hop Dance
  • Sock Puppets
  • Introduction to Guinean Rhythms
  • Natural Dyes
  • Theatre Games
  • Watercolor Exploration
  • Songwriting
  • Draw & Paint Big!
  • Paper Bag Possibilities (ReUse Art)

All lessons have been designed and taught by Lane Arts Council’s professional teaching artists. Purchasing a Lane Arts Council Summer Art Kit invests in your local community and supports local artists!

We are no longer taking orders for Summer Art Kits at this time. Please check out our other Arts Education offerings to see what opportunities might be right for you and your students!
