Project Description
In this residency, students will learn the basics of hand-building as well as creating their very own instrument: a rattle! Students will have the unique experience of seeing the ceramic process from beginning to end, will get a hands-on exploration of clay, and will learn a brief history of indigenous clay instruments. We will end the class with a song circle in which students will use their instruments to create music.
Final Product
Each student will take home their one-of-a-kind clay instrument that they can treasure for years to come.
