Our 2021 Fall Term Design Arts Apprenticeship students showcased their original designs at SparkLab as a part of December’s First Friday Artwalk. Forty-one Lane County middle and high schoolers had the opportunity to work with professional designers from various industries this fall. Apprentices came up with innovative designs including upcycled fashion pieces, graphic design posters, hand-pulled prints, screen-printed T-shirts, character masks, and custom furniture.
One student guardian shared: “This program was incredible for my daughter. She learned how to express herself creatively in an entirely new medium, gaining confidence and having fun. Her mentor also provided a real look into the business she runs, providing my daughter with opportunities to learn about the industry and entrepreneurship.”
Applications for 2022 Winter Term are due this Friday, December 17th!
Congratulations 2021 Fall Term Apprentices!
