Make your fundraising letters stand out in the crowd!

Learn tools for writing and designing engaging year-end donor letters. This includes creating messaging that works for your target audience and tracking your results. You will also receive tips and and resources to improve the response rate for email and mobile campaigns. This hands-on workshop includes a work session where you will further develop your fundraising letters and receive feedback from the presenter. Please bring a past fundraising letter or ideas for your next appeal.  Workshop topics covered include:

–              Age trends in fundraising for individual donor cultivation
–              Letter visuals and tone
–              Determining your appeal message & audience
–              Assumptions about art donors
–              How to engage board and staff to help return
–              Target marketing
–              Buying lists vs. maintaining your own

About the Presenter
Claire Seguin has been a Community Economic Development practitioner for 25 years. She was a successful gallery owner for 15 years before becoming the CEO of a California-based Nonprofit Community Development Corporation tasked with commercial revitalization and affordable housing development.

As a consultant and non-profit executive she has worked with many communities to help them embrace the importance of the arts as a solid economic and community development strategy. As the Executive Director for Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation (NEDCO) in Springfield, she brings her love of the arts and comprehensive understanding of urban planning, community development, economic development, and marketing to the region.
