Requests for arts programming in classrooms have increased substantially, and Lane Arts Council anticipates this need will continue. Your ArtSpark contribution will give arts opportunities to over 5,000 Eugene elementary students.

ArtSpark is an initiative of Lane Arts Council, founded in partnership with the Rotary Club of Eugene in 2016, to ensure every Eugene elementary student has arts opportunities as part of their in-school learning. While the Eugene School District 4J has increased funds for ArtSpark over the years, Lane Arts Council still relies on community support to ensure we can fully serve each 4J elementary school with two ArtSpark Artist Residencies annually.

We work with each school to fill gaps and support their specific arts learning needs. Lane Arts Council provides dozens of visual, performing, and literary arts programs in classrooms led by professional Teaching Artists. Just a few of these programs include mural painting, illustration, song-writing, natural dyes, acting and storytelling, glass fusion, fiddle music, and salsa dancing, among many others. We have already scheduled 23 ArtSpark Artist Residencies in 12 Eugene elementary schools so far this year!

Support of ArtSpark has helped create arts opportunities for thousands of young people. Your donation today will ensure that Eugene elementary students have access to arts education in the 2023-24 school year and beyond!

We are already looking ahead to next year. Help us continue to support opportunities for arts and creativity in Eugene schools.

Thank you to our 2023 ARTSPARK IGNITERS!
