About ArtSpark Eugene

ArtSpark Eugene is a collaborative initiative led by Rotary Club of Eugene, Lane Arts Council, Eugene Education Foundation, Eugene School District 4J to provide every elementary school in Eugene 4J with high-quality arts education through Lane Arts Council’s in-school artist residencies.

Thanks to ArtSpark, thousands of 4J elementary schools receive hands-on arts education with a professional teaching artist each year.

In the 2019-2020 school year we reached 6,474 elementary students and provided 1,223 hours of arts education. Since being implemented, ArtSpark has created a 60% increase in hours of arts education provided in 4J elementary schools! Learn more about the impact of ArtSpark on the Rotary Volunteer Connect Podcast.

On December 4th, 2020, the Rotary Club of Eugene and Lane Arts Council will host the fourth annual ArtSpark gala event virtually to raise funds for arts education in the 2020-2021 school year. With remote learning now in place, arts education is needed now more than ever to support students’ mental health, engagement, and self-expression.

We appreciate the many supporters of ArtSpark who have invested in creativity for our students! Thank you for your generous contributions to ArtSpark Eugene.
